Stellar Energy Reaches 100th Project Milestone

Stellar Energy, a global provider of energy plant solutions, announced the completion of its 100th project this month. The milestone also marks the company's delivery of Turbine Inlet Air Chilling (TIAC) on its 100th gas turbine and the delivery of more than 1 million tons of refrigerated water (TR) across all projects globally. Stellar Energy is expected to announce several more TIAC, Central Utility Plant (CUP) and Combined Heat & Power (CHP) projects in the coming months. "We're experiencing strong growth fueled by different factors in each of our market regions - the booming natural gas economy in the United States, the drive for energy efficiency in Asia, and growing energy demands in the Middle East," says Peter Gibson, Executive Chairman, Stellar Energy.

A Turbine Inlet Air Chilling system with Energy Storage for Frontera Energy Center in Texas marks Stellar Energy's 100th project and 100th gas turbine enhancement. TIAC is a commercially proven way to improve power producers' profitability by increasing a gas turbine's power output by up to 30 percent. By chilling the inlet air before it enters the compressor, TIAC gives the turbine a boost when it needs it most - in hot weather. In addition to increasing power output, TIAC improves the turbine's heat rate, increasing efficiency and lowering emissions. Stellar Energy has been a leader in turbine inlet air chilling systems for 20 years.
