Peter, the Executive Chairman of Stellar Energy, is a visionary leader in the energy sector with a global focus on advancing energy transition through practical and responsible infrastructure development. He oversees Stellar Energy’s performance, coordinating its investment and development activities.

Under his leadership:

  • Over 3 gigawatts of augmented power have been delivered around the world.
  • Stellar Energy has become a global leader in the areas of Turbine Inlet Air Chilling, Thermal Energy Storage, and manufacturing modular (off-site) cooling systems.


These innovative solutions have been implemented across various markets, including power and utilities, liquefied natural gas, and mission-critical facilities like data centers.

Peter’s entrepreneurial journey includes founding Mas Energy, a highly successful renewable natural gas development and generation company that became the third largest in the world. This remarkable achievement culminated in a lucrative sale in 2022. A native of New Zealand, Peter holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Business Management from the University of Auckland.

Additionally, Peter founded Nebula Energy, a company with a mission to accelerate the transition towards a greener and more sustainable future. Nebula Energy specializes in enabling greener energy solutions without the constraints of traditional infrastructure. The company is committed to practicality, efficiency, and environmental responsibility, using proprietary adaptable solutions to drive positive and rapid change. Nebula Energy’s vision is to lead the way in creating a sustainable world through innovative energy infrastructure, focusing on liquefied natural gas (LNG) and carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies as essential bridges from traditional fossil fuels to a renewable energy future.

Peter’s leadership in both Stellar Energy and Nebula Energy exemplifies his dedication to fostering and contributing to the global energy transition in a practical and impactful manner.

Marco Sanchez

Chief Executive Officer

Marco has been a noteworthy global leader in the energy sector for over 20 years with experience ranging from scaling a Service Business Unit to reach a record billion dollars in Revenue and launching a new digital division pioneering remote operations, a digital twin for the first and largest Green Hydrogen Complex and a Cybersecurity platform for power plant owners. Marco prides himself in building and maintaining strong global relationships with customers and strategic partners in the Energy, LNG, and Data Center markets as well as with individuals, focusing on their strengths and capabilities to deliver successful results. He comes to Stellar Energy with a long and successful record of accomplishments from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, concluding his time there as one of their Global Leaders for Power Generation. A University of Central Florida alumnus, Marco earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering as well as a Masters of Business Administration.

Amber Shaver

Chief of Staff and Legal Affairs

Amber Shaver has over 20 years of experience in international projects, strategic relations, manufacturing and managing international staff. In her 11+ years at Stellar Energy, Amber has negotiated more than $2 Billion in contracts for iconic energy projects spanning 10+ countries and involving multinational governments, public utilities, EXIM bank and private Fortune 500 companies. In her roles at Stellar Energy, Amber has led a successful patent litigation, developed an international compliance program that works with local, state, federal and international governments to ensure quality and safety exceeds international standards. Amber spearheaded ensuring Stellar Energy’s involvement in the First Coast Manufacturing Association (FCMA), Florida MAKES, Lean Kaizen and the Association of Women in Energy (AWE) and in securing multi-million dollars of grant money to allow for the expansion of the company and produce jobs for the economy. Amber currently sits on the Board of FCMA, is both a Board Member and the Vice President of the Association of Women in Energy and two International Boards. Amber earned a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University and a JD from the University of Alabama and is a competitive knife thrower.

Eric Burton

Chief Commercial Officer

Eric Burton has over 20 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry playing integral roles in the evolving energy landscape. He has deep experience in the successful execution of new coal, gas, nuclear and clean power projects for domestic and international clients, with individual EPC contract values in excess of $20 billion. As Chief Commercial Officer for Stellar Energy, Eric is responsible for the financial performance of all projects. Prior to joining Stellar Energy, Eric worked for Stone & Webster (formerly CB&I and the Shaw Group) and X-Energy. Eric earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of South Carolina.

Tom Brady

Chief Technology Officer
Tom is a pioneer in the use of ice-based thermal storage and is responsible for the conceptual design, economic analysis and portions of the detailed design and commissioning of more than 42 district energy plants around the world. Tom holds a United States patent for the development of energy-saving applications involving thermal storage systems. Prior to joining Stellar Energy, Tom was a founding member of the International Thermal Storage Advisory Council and, through his company—Brady District Energy—provided technical support to both the Electric Power Research Institute and the Edison Electric Institute in the United States; in this role he collaborated with more than 20 electric utility companies and their major clients, engineers and contractors to demonstrate the effectiveness of using thermal storage systems for electric demand management. Tom has authored several articles and has given more than 30 seminars on the subject of thermal storage and large cooling systems. Tom earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics & Economics at Xavier University.

Gordon Lyon

CCO – MENA/President International Infrastructure
Gordon oversees Stellar Energy’s growing operations in the Middle East/North Africa region from the company’s office in Abu Dhabi. With more than 20 years of experience in the international power generation arena, Gordon has directed turnkey EPC industrial engineering projects of values from $5 million to $1 billion, including power plants from 40MW to 1800MW. His previous experience includes a variety of high-level executive and management roles at Turbine Technology Services, Inc., Creative Power Solutions and Perini Management Services, among others.

Steve Hawkins

Chief Engineer
Steve leads Stellar Energy’s Engineering team to help design custom solutions that ensure our clients achieve maximum performance of their energy systems. With extensive expertise in the energy and automation industries, Steve has over 30 years of experience with both Fortune 500 and privately-held companies including GE, Southern Company, Rockwell Automation, Stellar and Revere Control Systems. Steve earned a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Auburn University. In addition, he completed his Six Sigma Black Belt certification and the leadership program at Florida State University.

Carroll Shephard

President – Digital Business

Carroll has over 18 years of experience specializing in product development and manufacturing of complex modular systems and infrastructure with a strong background developing Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) processes. These modular systems have served mission critical, pharmaceutical, healthcare, higher education, government, industrial manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, and chemical applications. In addition to these industries, Carroll’s experience covers a broad range of modular solutions including modular energy plants, MEP penthouses, custom air handling units, datacenters, industrial pipe racks, and modular electrical infrastructure, as well as packaged pump and heat transfer systems. His roles have included on-site services, quality control, design and engineering management, project management, and operations management. Carroll studied Business Management at Arizona State University.

Mark Jones, P.E.

President – Solutions Business

Mark has over 15 years of experience in design engineering and product development in the power generation and manufacturing industries. Prior to Stellar Energy, Mark had notable career achievements through his tenure at GE, most recently serving as Engineering Leader for a global team that developed GE’s flagship HA-class gas turbines. A two-time University of Florida graduate, Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on thermal science and fluid dynamics. He is a registered professional engineer and holds seven patents.

Gary Stansbury

President – Services Business

Gary Stansbury is an accomplished senior executive with over 25 years of experience in the Power Generation Services industry. Throughout his career, Gary has demonstrated an ability to drive growth and profitability. He’s known for his commitment to safety, integrity, quality and customer satisfaction, never compromising on these core principles. Gary has held a variety of executive and technical positions, previously working with GE Power, Gamesa, MD&A and ProEnergy. His expertise extends across numerous areas, including growth strategy development, international business operations, and execution and fulfillment solutions. He has a proven track record of boosting top-line growth, creating competitive advantages and driving innovative solutions. As President – Services Business, Gary is responsible for the full range of services solutions, including service contracts, all site activities, and spare parts. Gary earned a BSME degree from the University of Florida.

Jason Combs

Vice President – Finance

Jason has a strong background in manufacturing finance, and strength in strategy and business plan development to generate improved performance, results and profitability. Jason spent nearly 20 years with Georgia Pacific, having worked his way from Cost Accountant to Corporate Director of Planning and Analysis. He earned a degree in accounting from Georgia College and State University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant.

Tracy Bolster

Vice President – Human Resources

Tracy Bolster is an accomplished HR professional with over 15 years of experience, including a decade dedicated to human resources management. With a robust background in leading teams and implementing innovative processes, Tracy has consistently driven service-oriented programs and initiatives across diverse industries.
As the VP of Human Resources at Stellar Energy, Tracy spearheads all HR functions, payroll, and safety operations. Under her leadership, the HR department evolved into a strategically integrated function within Stellar Energy’s operations to support the company’s rapid growth. Tracy earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. She furthered her expertise by completing a certificate program in HR Management and Analytics from The Wharton School of Executive Education. Tracy also holds several certifications, including PHR and SPHRi.
